Artist Statement
At the heart of my artistic practice one would discover a Feminist concern for the depiction of balance in relationships ranging from any combination of humans, nature, animals, mythological gods, and especially in the relationship of one femme presenting individual and her self-perception. I am a collector artistic influences and the most inspirational have been the psychology of Carl Jung, the art works and writings of Wassily Kandinsky, the concept of language as a means of communication, Oneirology, and various different world philosophies, which I have combined into a statement on my human experience. The core of my practice is currently focused on ritualistic conceptual performances which occasionally feature elements of my experimental sound art, spoken word poetry, and/or fiber art.
